Even though the Celts have only competed in virtual meets, they're off to a great start with wins over New Albany and Marysville.

Jerome vs. New Albany (Virtual)

The girls beat New Albany 114-52.  Sophomore Lily Schwelgin lead the girls side with individual wins in the 200 IM and 100 Fly.  Other event winners were:  200 Free - Elle Recor, 50 Free - Michelle Yang, 100 Free - Zoe Musselman, 500 Free - Ashlyn Walter, 100 Back, Kelsey Cooper and 100 Breast - Audrey Brink.  The girls also won all three relays.

The boys won with a score of 109-52.  Three boys lead the way with double event wins: Dean Sherrer (200 Free and 500 Free), Alex Davis (200 IM and 100 Back), Nicky Leonard (50 Free and 100 Free.  DJ Lloyd won the 100 Fly and Luke Dauer won the 100 Breast.  The boys also won all three relays.

Jerome vs. Marysville (Virtual)

The girls team defeated Marysville with a score of 101-44.  The boys won 92-44.  The girls were lead by two double event winners - Libby Grether (200 IM, 100 Back) and Elle Recor (50 Free, 500 Free).  Other event winners were:  Zoe Musselman (100 Free), Lily Schwelgin (100 Fly), Michelle Yang (100 Free), Audrey Brink (100 Breast)

The boys were lead by two double event winners - Dean Sherrer (50 Free, 500 Free) and Nicky Leonard (200 Free, 100 Free).  Other event winners were:  Alex Davis (200 IM), DJ Lloyd (100 Fly), Andy Lui (100 Breast).

The girls and boys also won all three relays!

The Jerome girls won a close meet edging out 2nd place team Delaware Hayes 282.5 to 262. Going into the last 3 events they were behind but with a 1, 2, 4 finish in the 100 backstroke and then a 2nd and 3rd finish in the 100 Breaststroke they were able to take the lead and held it through the 400 Free Relay. Junior standout Maya Geringer lead the charge with a 1st place finish in both the 200 Free and 500 Free. Freshman Kelsey Cooper also picked up a 1st place finish in the 100 Backstroke, followed up by Sophomore Claudia Sherrer in 2nd. On the springboard Junior Alyssa Heinlen took home a 1st place finish to help the cause.

The Jerome boys jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They scored 398 points with second place going to Delaware Hayes with 183 points. Jerome took 1st in all three Relays, 200 Medley, 200 Free and 400 Free. Freshman Carson Smith and Junior Ian Smith went 1-2 in the 200 Free. Ian Smith led the charge in the 50 Free taking 1st followed by teammates Senior Matt Shepard and Junior Austin Davis for a sweep of the event. Senior Reid Newman won the 100 Butterfly. Matt Shepard and Sophomore Austin Wyner went 1-2 in the 100 Freestyle. The Jerome boys had a swimmer medal in the top 3 in every single event on the day.

Most importantly every single swimmer on the team, girls and boys, scored points to contribute to the win.
